May 11, 2009 Update on Samuel Hospital stay

Hello All,

Greetings from Alto Cayma! I hope everyone is doing well.

This morning Maria (the S.W. from the Alto Cayma Mission) and I had an opportunity to visit Samuel in the General Hospital. We arrived just after they changed the dressings on his hand and he was in looking terrific and in good spirits despite it all. They have operated on his hands and his head. He reports minimal pain, which is incredible! He is eating a normal diet. The only thing I could convince him to let me bring tomorrow was a fresh mango juice.

He asked me to share a few words with everyone who have been so supportive and helpful of his surgeries.
"This is Samuel Astacia Bata, and I am very thankful to everyone for my operation that I needed in my situation. God bless you all. Greetings to each one of you on my behalf."

Thank you again for all the support and prayers,

Karen Falkenstein
